Say it ain't so!!

During my daily round of internet web-gossip sites, I saw an article regarding a "rumor" circulating on who is up for the coveted role of Leah Clearwater in the New Moon film.

The 2 candidates? Brenda Song and Vanessa Hudgens.

For argument's sake that this rumor is true....

I applaud Brenda Song for finally considering a role out of her typecast, bimbo headed girly girl facade, but she doesn't even begin to look the part. She clearly does not display the Native American look nor can I picture her as a werewolf.

To be honest, I actually did picture Vanessa Hudgens as Leah Clearwater for maybe a split second when I was (and still am) reading the books. For one, she does look like she can embrace the heritage and the whole "whiney" aspect of Leah seemed to suit her. But I can't picture her as a werewolf either. Something about her is too soft and delicate.

Anyway, I'm just a fan of film adaptations of books and with the new director, I can't wait to see what he/she will bring to the screen. But please don't let it be either of them.
