Sophie in the 'ham
So, a few days ago I pointed out some things I enjoyed about each class upon first impression that would guarantee a great quarter.I was kind of stuck on Anthropology....until today!
As part of an example of linguistics throughout each culture, the professor asked the class to list several other American nicknames for 'money'. It was simple enough, cash, dough, cheese, etc until we reached 15 examples. Next word: marijuana. Through active and enthusiastic participation by the entire class, not only did I learn a subset of anthropology, but I learned about 10 other terms for marijuana! We are so enthusiastic about our happy maple.
Tonight was possibly the best night I've had in Bellingham since I've been here, although it probably did some damage to my lungs and clothes. I vote that Sophie and I attend an institution of higher learning together! Though that will never happen ):
