Quasi-reality.

This will be the second consecutive post that begins with "I had a dream last night."

So, I had a dream last night that a friend and I went to some guy's apartment. Let's call him "Dave" for the protection of his identity and the sake of own my private life. In this dream, Dave's apartment was a glass building and he lived in an incredibly high floor where it induced my extreme fear of heights. Not only did he live in a high building, but the entrance of his door led to mid-air, where the ground was far, far away. (How did I end up there? Hover craft? I don't know, dream scenes jump too rapidly and I travel through vignettes.) I felt like I was in a real-life version of the Jetsons and though his apartment was extremely small, it was also modernistic as well. When I woke up, I immediately checked a dream dictionary, because the content of my dream seemed way too specific (Glass apartment? Located extremely high with a door leading to the troposphere?). I checked two things: Glass and Fear of Heights, both bringing attention to my self-awareness.

Height
To dream that you are at a great height, signifies that you have reached one of your highest goals or objectives.
To dream that you are
afraid of heights, denotes that you are striving for goals that seem beyond your reach.

Glass
To see glass in your dream, symbolizes passivity or protection. You may be putting up an invisible barrier to protect yourself in a situation or relationship. To dream that you are looking through glass, represents your openness and non-defensiveness.
Alternatively, you may be putting up an invisible emotional barrier around yourself.

In this case, my goal was to advance a relationship with Dave, whether it be friendship or more. Being at a great height, I felt that I reached a goal of doing so, but at the same time I'm still hesitant whether or not I would be able to, being the 'fear' part. As for the glass, well let's just say I don't wear my heart on my sleeve. It's scary how dreams work and how often they are so true.

Part of me loves having dreams that make ridiculous ambiguous suggestions about my life that are always true.

Another part of me just wishes my dreams would be more forward and obvious. Why does my subconscious have to disguise itself even more right?

My favorite is having dreams of teeth which symbolizes fear of appearing ugly. And the dream is just not pleasant.
